The Medina County Fair has been going strong since 1980. The Medina County Fair and Carnival is held each year on the third weekend in September at the Hondo City Park and Fair Grounds.  There are food booths, arts and crafts, free games, live music, antique tractors, and a rodeo just  to name a few.

Events leading up to the Fair begin in early August with the crowning of the Medina County Fair Queens Court.

On Fair weekend, things get going with the Home Arts competitions on Friday, with categories for baked goods, canning, quilting, carpentry, photography and other events.

Saturday morning begins with the Medina County Fair Parade in downtown Hondo. Then head out Avenue M to City Park and Medina County Fairgrounds for two days of food, fun and entertainment. There are livestock prospect shows and petting zoos in the show barn, vendors and home arts winners on display in the Fair Hall, with musical entertainment throughout the day.

A dance highlights Saturday night, this year featuring
Max Stalling & Roger Creagor.

We look forward to having you at the Fair this year
on September 18th and 19th!
